This wedding.

First, a bit of background. We use to live in Mukilteo. The waterfront was 5 miles from our apartment. When we first met with Hugo and Viviana we were thrilled to have the opportunity to shoot at such a beautiful location that was so close to our home. Literal dream booking.  4 months after this, we moved to Anchorage. Like, the one in Alaska. Our 5 mile commute turned into a 1,500 mile commute. I am in no way complaining – I’ll take any excuse to get back to my home in the PNW, and this wedding was an absolutely perfect excuse.

Floral crowns, lighthouses and rocky beaches, emotional first looks, mix and match bridesmaids, the joining of large bilingual families, a mint VW van (that we almost drove back to AK with us), a money ceremony that I wish James and I had known about when we got married, surprise serenades, sparkler exits, blue hour portrait sessions, and ending the evening with the release of a sky lantern – I would travel any number of miles to be part of such festivities.

Hugo and Viviana, it was an honor to be a part of your most joyous of days. To many, many more happy years ahead!
